Social Responsibility Policy
MIRACEMA-NUODEX CHEMICAL INDUSTRY LTDA., is a chemical company, located in the city of Campinas-SP, committed to social responsibility.
Seeking the best current practices and compliance with legal requirements prohibiting the use of child labor, the practice of forced labor or labor analogous to slavery, degrading or undignified work, discrimination against people and freedom of unionization and collective bargaining in labor relations, it assumes the commitment to provide all its employees with respect for their dignity, continuous learning, an adequate work environment, support and increase in social and citizenship initiatives and compliance with current labor and occupational safety legislation.
COMMITMENTS
- CHILD LABOR – not to use, support or involve, under any pretext, child labor in its business activity and not to support its use by its customers and suppliers.
- FORCED OR SLAVE-LIKE LABOR – not to employ or support forced or slave-like labor, whereby forced or slave-like labor is understood to be the use of labor enticed by false promises. Employment contracts are regularly formalized; remuneration must comply with the minimum wage for the category; workers are not restricted in their right to freedom of movement and are not subjected to exhaustive working hours, with the employer complying with labor legislation.
- DEGRADING OR UNDIGNIFIED WORK – respect the dignity of workers and their citizenship rights, not subjecting them to undignified or degrading working conditions, especially with regard to their conditions of Observe occupational safety standards through guidance, training and provision of all individual and collective protective equipment, complying with the regulatory standards (NRs) issued by the Ministry of Labor.
- FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND THE RIGHT TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING – respect the right of all employees to join unions, as well as to bargain collectively, authorizing, through prior notice, access by representatives of the category's union to the workplace to hold meetings at times that do not interfere with the normal provision of services, ensuring that there are no reprisals against workers.
- DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PEOPLE – Do not engage in, support or participate in any act of discrimination based on race, social class, nationality, religion, disability, sex, age, sexual orientation, union or political association in the act of hiring and in the execution of the employment contract and in their business activities.
- DISCIPLINARY PRACTICES – Do not support or allow any type of aggressive or abusive punishment, whether corporal, mental or psychological coercion, physical or verbal abuse of people.
- COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES – encourage employees to get involved in community activities, as long as it does not lead to a conflict of interest.
